Hello! It’s now the 5th week since I gave birth and it was the CS. I am worried because am still bleeding and I do not know if it’s normal or not. I can bleed today but tomorrow no bleeding and I can bleed in the morning but during the day I do not till the night. Is it normal or i should seek medical attention?

What you are having is what we call ‘breakthrough bleeding ‘ and this is normal for most women and can continue up to around 8 weeks after birth. However, if it becomes very heavy and continues past 8 weeks after birth, please do see a doctor. Do continue to eat foods rich in iron like meat, liver, leafy green vegetables to ensure that you replenish your blood and do not become anaemic.
