Nausea and vomiting during pregnancy

Hello Baby Banda. I am one month pregnant but vomiting throughout the day. I used emitino but there is no change. What should I do? I have already lost some weight.

In the first trimester, you may get a lot of nausea and vomiting but hopefully it does get better after the first 3 months.  To help ease the nausea, here are a few tips;

  1. Eat what you feel like eating, don’t worry too much on the nutrition as long as you are able to keep it down
  2. Avoid heavily spiced or fatty foods which may increase the nausea
  3. Avoid getting hungry, try and eat small amounts through the day. Feeling empty or hungry can make the nausea worse.
  4. Carry apples or another fruit with you. At the first hint of hunger/nausea, eat an apple, followed 15 minutes later by a heavier food.
  5. If plain water is not appealing try  juices, soups,  lemon water, dry ginger ale, soda
  6. Stay away from strong or offensive smells.
  7. Get plenty of rest as nausea is often worse when you are tired.
  8. Speak to your doctor about trying a different medication to ease the nausea
