One can take pain killers, including inject-able medication. There’s also a gas inhaled called Hexonox Nitrous Oxide mixed with oxygen. It is inhaled at the intense stage of labour. One can also get an Epidural, which is an Injection in the spinal cord. You should however expect pain since you are giving birth to what will be a gift.
